Obituary for Margaret M. Hanley

Margaret M. Hanley ( nee Peck ) , 91, died July 17, 2017. Born in Newark she was a lifelong North Arlington resident. She was a 1943 graduate of Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington. She continued her education at St. James Hospital in Newark receiving her nursing degree in 1946. Margaret retired as a school nurse in 1993 from the town of Kearny. Earlier she worked at the board of health and as a school nurse for the borough of North Arlington. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hanley, the devoted mother of Kathleen Adamczyk and her husband Paul, Patricia Hanley, Thomas Hanley and his wife Marti, Marianne Carney and her husband Keith , and Paul Hanley, the cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and the dear sister of William Peck, Ruth Murphy and her husband Bob and the late Charles Peck. Funeral from the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Friday, July 21st at 10 a.m. thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Thursday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the American Cancer Society ( Making Strides Against Breast Cancer ) 986 south Springfield Ave., .Springfield, N.J. 07081
