Obituary for Margaret Hunt

Margaret “Peggy” E. Hunt (née Murphy), 90, formerly of North Arlington and Flemington, passed away peacefully in the evening of August 3, 2018 at her home in Neptune City, NJ.
The funeral will be from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ on Wednesday, August 8th at 9am, then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, for the Funeral Mass at 10am. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm.
Born in Coolmeen, Mayo Abbey, County Mayo, Ireland, Peggy immigrated to the United States in 1950. She worked for many years in the food service industry, including the Waldorf Astoria in New York City and ITT Avionics in Nutley with the “Irish Ladies” until her retirement 25 years ago. Peggy was an active member of the North Jersey Irish-American Association, the Giblin Association and the Rosary Society of Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington.
Peggy was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of forty years, Brian, along with her siblings, Nora, Mary Delia, and Austin Murphy, all of County Mayo, Ireland.
She is survived by her children, Irene, Geri, and John; her sons-in-law, Kenneth Kern and Hector Abel Rodriguez; and her grandchildren, Bryan Sivilli, Leandra Kern Davis, and Nicole Kern Price.
