Obituary for Helene F. Clancy

Helene F. Clancy ( nee Foster ), 90, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home in North Arlington. Born in Newcastle , Maine she lived on Liberty Island and in Greenwich Village both in New York City before moving to North Arlington over 60 years ago. She was a 1949 graduate of Columbia University in New York. Helene worked as an executive secretary and handled employee benefits for Mebane Packaging Group in Kearny for over 20 years before retiring 18 years ago. She was a member of the Yanticaw Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Nutley and the Mayflower Society in Maine. Helene was the beloved wife of the late Captain George E. Clancy , the devoted mother of Hal Clancy and Sharon Clancy and the cherished grandmother of Jessica Clancy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 10th in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the American Lung Association 1031 US 22 # 203, Bridgewater, N.J. 08807 or the American Heart Association 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231
