Obituary for Anna V. Sciacchetano

Anna V. Sciacchetano (nee Ciani), 97, died May 31, 2017.
Born in Jersey City she has lived in North Arlington since 1942.
Anna was a member of the Senior Citizen Harmony Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council #3428, the Sultanas of the Alhambra El Sheedy Caravan and a charter member of the Italian American Club all of North Arlington.
She worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for the Hahne's Department store in Newark for many years before retiring in 1979. During World War II she worked for the General Electric Company in Hoboken.
She is the beloved wife of the late John V., the cherished mother of Noreen Sica and her husband Richard of River Vale and Gail Sciacchetano of Fairway, Kansas, the adored grandmother of Adrienne Baranowski and Kimberly La Spada, the great grandmother of Anthony James and Cameron La Spada, and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington on Saturday, June 3, at 10 A.M. thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
